The Truly Blessed Life – Part 2

In his book, The Blessed Life, Robert Morris insists the tithe is not law, but a “principle that runs throughout the Word of God.” However, The New Testament tells us something different:

Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people—that is, from their fellow Israelites—even though they also are descended from Abraham. (Hebrews 7:5)

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.” (Matthew 23:23)

Here is the true principle concerning giving:

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

Contrast this with Morris’ subtitle: The Simple Secret of Achieving Guaranteed Financial Results.
